When i was younger, I always wondered what it meant when i did something and someone else across the room yelled 'Deja vu'.
I never knew the reason why, never even thought to ask, took it as one of those random things my cousin blurted out, like "yay" or "ugh" and all of that.
Well, in short, my assumption didn't last as long as i would have hoped.
I watched one evening as she accidentally dropped her phone, when i got this strange feeling that i had seen her do that minutes ago. I Didn't know what it meant, but I couldn't get over it. It certainly did feel a bit like nostalgia, you know, the feeling when you perceive an old perfume, listen to old music or visit places you knew ages ago, but that wasn't it.
I ignored it and moved on till it happened again, this time I knew it was something. I told her what i felt between laughs and she laughed so loud, almost screaming ' it's called 'deja vu', and it definitely is not rocket science , noone knows why, but it happens all the time'.
So i finally understood it, knowing the name didn't change the mind trick but it did help me feel a tad less confused, Lesson learned! no knowledge is a waste, well, except the reasons why spiders exist, Still don't get it.
